‘Harvest of Hope’ an inspirational event

As a longtime parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, I was proud to participate and attend the Harvest of Hope Awards Dinner on Oct. 1. It was certainly an uplifting, inspirational experience featuring sacred song, prayerful reflection and calls to be Jesus hands and feet to our brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the world.

The officers and members of Sacred Heart St. Vincent De Paul Society are to be commended for their terrific job of organizing and coordinating this event.

At the conclusion of the evening, we were reminded as committed Christians in this blessed country of the need to put into action the words of the Gospel, “Everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required,” (Luke 12:48) when we are proclaiming Jesus’ great commission to the world.
