A connection between generations

Rosemarie Bloodgood Kurtz and her husband LeRoy were two of the more than 100 grandparents and grandchildren who attended the third annual Grandparents Brunch in Cardinal McCarrick High School, South Amboy.

Father John B. Gordon, a Cardinal McCarrick High School chaplain, began the event Oct. 26 in the school theater with a blessing. Mary Alice O’Connor Morris, Class of 1958, then gave a reading.

Morris’ grandchildren currently attend Cardinal McCarrick High School.

Mrs. Kurtz is a member of the Class of 1948.

Her grandchildren Paul Conlon and Christopher Kurtz are members of the classes of 2007 and 2009 respectively. Conlon’s mother, Sarah Kurtz Conlon, graduated from what was then St. Mary High School in 1974. Kurtz’s parents, Elizabeth Allen Kurtz and Matthew Kurtz are both members of the class of 1976.
