Harry G. Toupet, father of Diane Gamache
A funeral Mass was celebrated June 22 at St. Cecelia Church, Iselin, for Harry George Toupet, father of Diane Gamache, accounts payable clerk for the diocesan Office of Finance.
He died June 19 at JFK Medical Center, Edison, at age 90.
Born and raised in Newark, Toupet moved to Iselin where he lived for 40 years. Employed as a machinist with Union Carbide, Newark, he retired in 1980 after 50 years with the company.
He was an avid bowler, an usher at St. Cecelia Parish, Iselin, and assistant manager of the Golden Knights Drum & Bugle Corps, Blessed Sacrament Parish, Newark.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred “Inky” (Dippel) Toupoet; his son, Harry and his wife, Margaret of Mine Hill; his daughters, Diane Gamache and her husband, Joseph, of Iselin, and Susanne Sanford of Bangor, Pa.; his grandchildren, Jason, Tricia, Kimberly, Linda and Alex, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements were made by Thomas J. Costello Funeral Home, Iselin. Entombment was in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum, Piscataway.
