Bishop Bootkoski accepts new seminarians
Bishop Paul G. Bootkoski has accepted three new seminarians for the Diocese of Metuchen, according to Father Randall J. Vashon, diocesan director of vocations, Feb. 12.

Matthew Marinelli, 18, is a senior at Phillipsburg High School and lifelong parishioner of Sts. Philip and James Parish, Phillipsburg. He has volunteered in his parish’s religious education program and assisted as a lector at daily Mass when he is able. Matthew is applying to begin his undergraduate degree at Seton Hall University, South Orange, as a seminarian residing at St. Andrew Hall College Seminary. He is the second youngest of five children. His siblings are Melinda, 29; Kristopher, 25; Amanda, 24; and Autumn, 14.

Lukasz Blicharski, 26, is a second year theologian at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, Mich. He came to the United States in 2006 after completing his philosophy and first year of theological studies at the Metropolitan Seminary in Wroclaw, Poland. He completed two years of English as a Second Language studies at Sts. Cyril and Methodius.

Dawid Wejnerowski, 24, is a first-year theologian at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Seminary. He also came to the United States in 2006 after completing his philosophy studies at Seminary in Bydgoszcz, Poland. He completed two years of ESL studies at Sts. Cyril and Methodius.
